BEST AFFORDABLE DRUGSTORE CONCEALER?
So I have been on the hunt for a good pale concealer from the drugstore for a while now. I've tried elf which is very pale but the coverage isn't there. I've also tried rimmel and it oxidizes and again the coverage isn't there.
But when in target the other day I gravitated to the essence stand which I enjoy because they have a super cheap pressed powder which comes in about 4 shades and one is white so for my pale skin its perfect but they also just do affordable good quality products. Now majority of the time with there concealers and foundation the palest shade is orange so I was surprised when I saw there full coverage camouflage concealer. This concealer comes in two shades 10 nude and 05 ivory.
Now when I went to the stand they didn't have 05 ivory but from looking online is doesn't seem to be lighter than 10 nude it just looks more pink toned. But god was I happy when I saw how pale this is. I swatched the tester and walked around and it didn't oxidize. I went back and grabbed one not even looking at the price then the girl are the register told me it was $5.10 then I got 5% off I was so happy.
So this isn't a thin consistency but its also not thick, it's very creamy though. For me it's not brightening it more matches me skin tone exactly. It does make me look more awake though which I do appreciate. I wouldn't say its complete full coverage as I can see a bit of purple still but in photos and videos you couldn't tell. It doesn't crease at all I find which is great because that is usually a problem for me. I have bad cystic acne and I find it doesn't irritate my acne and it covers the redness well. But to apply it so my active and non active spots I put some of the concealer on my hand then apply it with my fingers.
Now in this tube you get 5ml or 0.16 fl oz of products which for $5.10 is amazing. It last's for 12 months after first opening which is a really long time for a concealer. I do enjoy the packaging, it's a hard plastic with grey writing and an orange lid which oddly enough I like. The applicator is a doe foot like most drugstore and high end concealers. It's about a medium size to easy to get around the shape of my eyes.
So is this concealer worth it spending your money on? Yes, it's so worth a try if you don't like it under your eyes its also great as I mentioned for spot concealing. This for darker skin tones can be used as a brightening concealer but for my fairer skin people this will just be a good concealer for coverage. This isn't the best concealer drugstore or high end that i've come across but for the price and accessibility I think it's great.
