NYX LIP LINGERIE
So today I went to my local priceline (for those who aren't in Australia priceline is a pharmacy but also sells make up) and I came across the Nyx Professional Make Up stand. Now I hadn't tried any of nyx's products but i've heard great things and they are cruelty free and reasonably price which is a bonus.
So what did I pick up? Because obviously me being me I couldn't do all these swatches and then just walk away empty handed. So I picked up one of there lip lingerie's. For a while this were quite hyped in the beauty community and I always wondered why because honestly i'm not too picky when it comes to lipstick. BUT I now see why these were so hyped.
I see why though because they are all nude shades with the exception of exotic which is a beautiful deep red. I feel like there is a perfect nude for every skin tone. I am quite fair like maybelline's fit me matte and poreless in 110 is still a tad dark. So trying to find a good nude lip that doesn't look like concealer is a struggle. Most are to pink or to peachy but the nyx lip lingerie's from what I swatches have some nice colours I could get away with.
So I got the colour lace detail, which to me is a peachy pink but not to peachy if that makes sense. It's like smack bang in the middle of peach and pink.
So the top left colour is lace detail, the top right is embellishment, bottom left is corset and then the bottom right shade is exotic.
So as you can see from the swatch the shades are very beautiful and they as I explained before very far apart in terms of nudeness (is that even a word? nope? well it is now).
So I am love with the packaging, it's very simple but I love the fonts used and the curve on the lipstick in the bottom. I am always a sucker for packaging and drugstore make up isn't always there but with this particular lipstick it's perfect. Not to much not to little.
Now the formula is great I always seem to have dry lips no matter how much I exfoliate or put lip balm on. So if you are wanting to try this lipstick out just exfoliate before hand. Now the lipstick itself is very cream I was so surprised when i did the first swipe because it was so comfortable to put on and wear. It is extremely pigmented and opaque. I only needed two dips into the tube because my lips were so dry the product wasn't smoothing out or looking even but it you don't have dry lips this shouldn't be an issue.
So these retail for $14.95 Australian. Now considering you are getting 4ml or 0.13 fl oz I think that is a very good price. It is also cruelty free which in Australia finding decent cruelty free make up is hard and expensive.
So do I think this is worth your money? I do, I really do. The colour is beautiful and I like many of the other colours and have found them similar to some too face melted matte lip sticks which are $30 so this is a little under half the price and for me nyx are easy to get a hold of.
I feel like no matter what your skin tone you will fall in love with at least one of these shade like I have.
Heres a quick photo of how it looks on my skin tone.
So those are my thoughts and I hope this was some what helpful.
I also recorded is first impression on this lipstick so I will put the think below.
